Best Picnic Spots in RVA 1
WINE-not start with one of my favorites
The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
Guys, I know I’m new here BUT the fine arts museum has always been one of my favorite places to come visit even before we moved to RVA. It wasn’t until recently that I learned they had a cafe down stairs that serves, you guessed it! WINE… and pizza and a bunch of other easy to grab drinks and snacks.
The museum is beautiful inside and out with plenty of grassy areas with sculptures to admire while lay out on a warm day and have the perfect picnic. They do not allow any outside alcohol but you are welcome to pack a lunch bag and set up at any of there outdoor tables if you don’t have a blanket.
We went with the kids and we walked around the museum for hours. You can really spend the whole afternoon there and finish off with a picnic lunch. Obv that’s what we did. If Wine and pizza are not your thing check out our friends at The Cocky Rooster. They are a two minute drive( less than half a mile) from the museum. Check out what we order featured on Our favorite take out RVA blog.
